Requirements
Using our electronic legal forms is generally pretty simple, but there are a few things that must be in place to ensure you're successful.
Computer vs. Tablet/Smartphone
At this writing, the best way to use our electronic forms is on a laptop or desktop computer running Windows or Mac OS. We haven't yet done enough testing on mobile operating systems like Android or iOS to guarantee that our forms work successfully there. We will update this item as we get new information.
Adobe Acrobat Reader
You must use the free Adobe Acrobat Reader in order to view and print your Stevens-Ness legal forms successfully. Customer support issues with our forms are infrequent; but in our experience, when a problem does occur it results from failing to use Adobe Acrobat Reader, even when it's been installed.
There are other programs for Windows and Mac OS that can open PDF files (some even come with the operating system), but our forms are specifically designed to work only with Adobe Acrobat Reader and we cannot guarantee your results with other programs. Adobe Acrobat Reader is free; click here to download and install it on your computer.
Once you have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed, it's important that you don't just double-click your Stevens-Ness electronic form file to use it, as this will sometimes cause a different program to open it. Instead, either right-click the file and choose Adobe Acrobat Reader from the "Open With" menu that appears, or start by opening Adobe Acrobat Reader itself and then use its "Open" command to open your purchased form.
Printer
Most current printers will output quite acceptable versions of our electronic forms, provided that you use Adobe Acrobat Reader to print them and your toner or ink is not low. If you'd like to test whether your printer can print our forms successfully, more detailed information and test PDFs are found on this page.
